An awesome week!

{Please note}:  This giveaway is now closed!

This has been a good week for me and I mean a really good week!  The Lord's been teaching me so much about stepping out in faith.  It's been a week full of letting go of fears and watching God just show up!

The biggest two highlights of the week?

#1--Sent Alyssa to her very first VBS ever!  It was the first time I'd ever left her with strangers for any length of time.  She was nervous and so was I, but you know what?  I'm so glad we did it because she had SO much fun and it gave us some good prep for Kindergarten which starts exactly a month from today!  Crazy!!!  It was definitely a change of pace getting all of us girls up and out the door by a specific time and I'm hoping it won't be too much harder for us when Alyssa starts school.

Here was my big girl today on her last day at VBS...

and yes, we do have some work to do before she starts school!  I thought she had the hang of spelling her name already, but I noticed today that she started to change things up a bit.  Added and extra letter, switched up a couple of letters and has her s's backwards!  Oops!  Mama's got some teaching to do!

~#2--Took the leap and finally connected with a MOPS group here in town!  Met some super sweet mommies at our little county fair here on Wednesday morning!

Audrey got to see the animals...

while I got to chat with the mommies.  It was so much fun getting out and I'm super excited about making new connections.  I seriously can't believe I waited this long to get out and do this but I'm so glad I did!  Thank you so much to Trisha and Lindy for encouraging me to do this!

On my way out of the fair, I took a picture of this...

These two people were working on this amazing sand sculpture!  Pretty neat, huh?

I also snapped this picture of me and Miss Livivie because I'm cheesy like that!

And can I just tell you how much I'm still loving my Moby?  I'm find myself wanting to tell every mommy I meet that they need one of these when they have a new baby.  Seriously, it's been my lifesaver and it helps me make up for the times when I'm not always able to hold her!

Well, it's been an amazing week and my heart is seriously so full!  I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend and getting to visit a new church on Sunday!  It's been almost a year since we've been to church and my Hubby and I decided we needed to finally get back out there and stop making excuses.  I'm super excited to see where the Lord takes us!

Just as a reminder, don't forget to enter into the two giveaways I have going on still...

Just leave me a comment on this post telling me something good that happened to you this week!  Why the extra giveaway you ask?  Because believe it or not, this is my 300th post and I think that calls for a giveaway.  I am so thankful for the friendships I've made through blogging.  Seriously...you guys are awesome!

Thanks so much and hope you have a great weekend!  I'll be back on Monday to announce all three giveaway winners!!!

Starbucks is SO yummy!

I have spent the week trying to get ready for a consignment sale. I still have tons to do though so I'm not anywhere near done. Guess I should be doing that instead of on the computer :)

I'm glad you had a great week - hope Sunday goes just as well.

I'm so glad you all had a good experience with VBS and MOPS! I can't believe school is just a month away ...

My good thing for the week was once again realizing how wonderful, supportive and loving my husband is. CPE has been really hard on both of us, but he has continued to remain positive and encourage me through it all.

Have a great weekend!

I am sooo happy for you! GREAT JOB getting out and stretching your family! and church this sunday? I can't wait to see what God is going to do in you and your husband and your girls! Yeah!

Something good that happened this week? God's hand of protection was on us (myself and Kayla) in the car accident. We came out of a totalled car unharmed. God is good!

Something that good that happened to me this week, I have one class left so I can start my teaching career this August, and of course it is the hardest class of all. I survived the first week with not failing out.

I Love Starbucks!!!

something good this week? where do i start? :) God's truly blessed my week as a mom of five kiddos. with minimal breakdowns (by the kids AND me) and great sleeping by evaleigh. God is good.

we don't have a MOPS in our area, or at least in our town. i'm glad you got connected. it's SUCH a blessing to hang out with other moms. i sadly had to remove myself from my mom's group due to some issues, but i'd love to find another one to attend. anyways. i'm rambling!! love the pictures!!

SUPER~D~DUPER!!!

I am so glad that you had a wonderful week Veronica. It is so good to recognize that everything comes from the hand of God, and to give Him the PRAISE!

Alyssa looks so happy in the picture. I am so glad she enjoyed VBS...and yes, it was a good thing to do as a warm up for school next month.

You stepped out in faith and went to MOPS too! I am so glad. I know you said you have been needing to make some new friends, and of course it is great if those friends are Christians! (:>)

I wish they woulkd have had Moby's when my girls were babies. They look so comfortable and snuggly...and also free up your hands.

I hope the church your family tries tomorrow will be the one for you!

Love and prayers,
Momma Linda

I am SO proud of you Ver! Way to go! It looks like Alyssa had a great time. And I hope MOPS works out for you. I looked into it here, but it's 45 minutes away and the cost is too much for us. I've heard that it's great though.

Glad you had a great week! I got some much needed housework done & of course Kristin's blog design, so those were a plus! LOL!

Hope you have a great weekend! And yes, I need to look into a Moby for baby #3. Do they sell it in a store or do I have to order it online?

I'm so happy for you. Way to get out and connect with some people. I'm glad you met some MOPS mamas!

That's what I am so happy about this week. Besides spending the weekend with my folks we had our MOPS leadership retreat and I so enjoy hanging out with those ladies!

Enjoy the rest of your summer and I'm glad God is working big things in your life! I am so glad I read your blog.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE Starbucks! They have the best pumpkin spice coffees, frappacinos, hot chocolate, and oooh enough with the coffee! =)

Something good that happened this week: I went to a huuuuge water park with two friends and the next day I went swimming with a friend!

Ok, so that was two, not one. Does that mean I get a second entry? ;) Just kidding. =)

So happy to read about your great week! So excited for Alyssa having a great week at VBS and for you getting out with some new mom friends. Nothing better!

My week...Sweet baby A reverted back to waking up in the middle of the night again for 4 nights in a row. Not fun. Not fun at all. Last night was night #4. He's old enough for rice cereal, so I bought some and am going to try it tonight to see if maybe he'll sleep through the night again. I don't want him to get into the habit of thinking that he can start getting a middle-of-the-night snack again!

Yummy, I LOVE Starbucks!

I hope she had a great week at VBS. I still remember going to VBS when I was her age, so it gave me lots of memories because of all of the games and activities we did.

Blessings,
Maggie

So proud of you, Ver! Thanks for sharing - and I'm excited for the Lord to lead the way in helping you find a church. When I was in college, I knew it was time to find a new church (after growing up in the Catholic church). My boyfriend at the time suggested a Baptist church so I opened up the phone book and picked one that was close enough to walk to. I was so nervous that morning, but I just kept praying the whole way that He would show me where He wanted me. It was a huge step in faith and a turning point in my walk. I knew immediately when I walked in the doors I was "home"...and little did I know I would meet my husband there ;) God is so amazing, isn't He?

Anyways, I LOVE Starbucks! This week, I got lots of sewing time and today we celebrated V's SECOND birthday. I absolutely LOVE being a mommy!
