I'm up late tonight because it seems like the only time I have to myself these days. This entire week I've been on the go and instead of getting to do other things while the girls nap, I find myself laying down with them and accidentally falling asleep too! It's been nice to get that extra rest in and I keep having to remind myself to take it easy. Some days I catch myself saying, "I wonder why I feel so tired?" Well, duh, the reason why is because I am almost 34 weeks pregnant!
Lately I've been finding it harder to get the everyday stuff done and to be honest, that really bothers me. I want things to be perfect all the time and the reality of that is that life is not perfect. There will be piled up laundry and dirty dishes, but it's just taking the time to appreciate life and all the little moments. It won't be long before we get to meet Alivia and life as we know it will be different again. I'm getting nervous about all the changes but I know the Lord will help me get through it. Some days I sit and think about how I used to look around when I wasn't pregnant and see a mom with a new baby and wish that was me. And then in the next moment I realize that IS going to be me! I get to do this again and it all becomes so real to me at that moment!
Today was big deal around here. My Audrey turned TWO! Unfortunately, I didn't get too many pictures from our day. For some reason, Audrey was out of sorts for almost the whole day. She cried a lot and I was telling my Hubby at the end of the day that for some reason, I just haven't been too good at reading her cues lately. I've been so busy that I think I've been waiting too long to serve the girls their snacks and lunches and it really gets Audrey upset. Since she's still getting her words, the only thing that works for her right now is to cry to let me know that she's unhappy. I need to do better at planning my days so that I can get meals prepared in a more timely manner.
I was kind of bummed that we didn't end up having a real celebration for her birthday today, but that's okay because we have a family party planned for her on Saturday. It's coming down to the last day to get things done and I feel really behind, but I know in the end, things will come together. We at least had the chance to get out this afternoon to have ice cream with my sister Yvonne and Natalya, which was fun. Later on, after nap we also made it to our nieces Breanna and Hannah's softball game, which was also really fun.
This week has been an amazing week and I'll have to share more about it later. I feel so blessed that so many things are falling into place in our life. There have been so many things that have been heavy on my heart for the last few months and God is just taking them all, one by one, and checking them off the list and showing us that He's got our back. He is GOOD and I can't help but give him all the glory!

god is SO SO SO GOOD!!
i love how you 'accidentally' fall asleep. i've done that before too, except i've purposely layed on the couch, but didn't mean to fall asleep. lol.
happy birthday to audrey. two. isn't it crazy how fast they grow.
i've seen moms with new babies and often think oh that's going to be me. and have to stop and slow down and enjoy this pregnancy. i don't know why i always try to rush things.
i can't wait to hear all of god's blessings in your life. it's amazing what happens when we fully give it all to him...
...just look at what a little hat did. :0)
HAPPY 2nd Birthday Audrey!
Love you sweet friend!
I love it when things fall into place and you can totally see God's hand all over it. I am anxious to hear about it.
Happy Late birthday to Audrey. I hope that she is feeling not so sad today. Poor thing
Can't wait to see what you did with the party stuff:)
Happy Birthday Audrey!! (yesterday) LOL! I can't believe we were talking on the phone and I didn't even realize it was her actual Birthday day :( I need to be better about keeping a good calendar of those things! That sounds like fun getting to have ice cream and going to the game. I bet the girls loved that!
Happy 2nd Birthday to your little Audrey! I love your girls names, btw!
Here's an idea.. and maybe you have already tried this...
We use baby signing ( sign language) for the words and "cues" that our little ones are trying to convey to us. It has been soooo helpful!
If you have any quesitons about this,, feel free to ask me!
(Or maybe you are already using this.)
either way...
it won't be long, and your new baby will be here..
THAT is when you will feel that all is right, and in its place..
maybe less sleep, and more things "undone.." but that is the time I think God has led moms to be to feel that all is "complete, and settled.
Hang in there.. Hang onto HIS promises.. you are almost there!

Happy 2nd Birthday Audrey (a day late)! It sounds like y'all still had a good time with your sister and at the softball game! I hope she has a great party this weekend! Get yourself some rest girl and enjoy these last 6 weeks or so!
Awww! That is so awesome that Jacob and Audrey have the same birth day! I mean they were really born on the same day. :) I was induced for Jacob to be born the day before but He stubbornly waited until 4:30 in the morning on the 11th before he stuck his nose out and took a breath. I hope she is feeling better today. I bet she has a blast at her party. I know that Jacob did. I put up a couple of little videos today on his birthday post if you want to stop back by and see them. I hope you get some video clips for Audrey's day too. It is always fun to see everyone's kids in action. Well, I hope you have a great weekend Veronica!!!
I hope Audrey had a great 2nd birthday. May God continue to bless you and your adorable family. :)
Happy belated 2nd birthday Audrey!
I hope she has the best time on Saturday! I'm sure you're doing a great job!
34 weeks already? Wow...where did the time go?! I remember when I was 34 weeks along and I was in the hospital dilated to 4 already! Thank goodness he held on for 3 more weeks!
I'll be praying that these last few weeks go by smoothly for you.
Wow, sounds like a fun and busy week!! Can't wait to see pics from Audrey's party this weekend!
Happy Birthday Audrey!!
You definitely deserve some nap time!! I know I feel better when my house feels clean but that honestly doesn't happen as often as it should. Nobody really comes to our house so that helps me not to worry about it. I just always think that when I'm older looking back I'll never wish I spent more time doing housework.
