First let me back up a little bit. Back in June, I "met" a new blog friend through a blog hop event. It was so cool to meet another blogger from CA, and as it turns out, her name is Veronnica too (her name is spelled with two n's)! The name of her blog is called, The Adventures of Miss V.
Not long after Veronnica and I met and started reading each other's blogs, I posted about our trip to the Avila Valley Barn. It's such an awesome place to visit and what's so special about it at this time of year is that it transforms into holiday mode with a really cool pumpkin patch.
Well, after reading my post about that, Veronnica mentioned that she would be interested in making a trip down here to check it out. She only lives about three hours away from here, and it just so happens that she has some friends that live close-by! A few weeks ago, Veronnica emailed me to let me know she'd be coming this way with her hubby and little boy to visit their friends and visit the Barn. She asked if I'd be willing to meet them there.
I was excited and nervous about it all at the same time but I thought it would be a fun thing to do, so I agree to meet them there at the Barn this past Saturday. At first I thought I would it would be just me and the girls going since my Hubby had something else planned for that day, but things ended up working out after all and my Hubby was able to make it with us. When we got there, there were a TON of people there. We agreed that I was going to call Veronnica when we arrived, but I thought I would take my chances and see if I could find her and her family first. I looked around for just a few minutes and I spotted Veronnica and her family getting their pictures taken by this huge wall of pumpkins. I told my Hubby, "That's them!" It's so funny to just go off of someone's picture to help you recognize them in real life, but I actually did it!
We made our way over to them and even though I was a little nervous, I went up to them and said "Hi, I'm Veronica!" We all introduced ourselves and since we didn't have a lot of time until the Barn closed, we got right to heading down to the pumpkin patch. As we walked, all of us got to talking and I immediately felt like we had known each other for a long time!
When we got down to the pumpkin patch, we talked and wandered around and took some pictures. It was so fun seeing the girls' reactions because they had never been to a pumpkin patch before! As usual, I tried to get my Hubby to get a pic of me and the girls but none of our efforts to get a good picture worked out. In every single picture it was Alyssa looking the other way, which was so funny to me because isn't it usually the younger child that never looks at the camera?
Here's one of my sweet girl surrounded by pumpkins!
After our quick visit to the Barn, Veronnica and her friend Bethany invited us to have dinner with them. It was fun getting to know them better and I am quite certain that they wondered if I actually knew how to be quiet! We just had the best time talking about everything from blogging, to our kiddos, to the Lord. My girls even decided to bring out their best restaurant manners, which included laying down on the bench they were sitting at (Alyssa) and putting their feet on the table (Audrey)! :) You would almost wonder if I actually taught them any manners, but what can you do? Sometimes kids will be kids!
Before we knew it, dinner had come to an end and I looked over at my Hubby and he was giving me "the look." You know...the one I've gotten a million times before that signals I should probably stop talking! I was sad the night was already over...we had such a good time!
Right as we were leaving, I reminded Veronnica that we still needed to get a picture of the two of us for our blogs! I had to borrow this picture from her blog because the one my Hubby took turned out yucky.
The two Veronnica's...
When I went to add this picture, I totally realized that this is the first full shot picture of myself I have ever posted on my blog. All I have to say is yikes!!! But...this is the real me, rolls and all! :)
Well, I hope to be able to meet with Veronnica again sometime! I had a blast!
P.S. If you'd like to visit Veronnica's blog, I'm sure she wouldn't mind! She has a super cute blog she's designed herself (one of her many talents)! She also blogged about our trip to the Barn and you can go HERE to read that post!

Need to read this full post, but wanted to say LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog. Super cute. Can't wait to go through it!
You are pregnant, good grief, woman! You look great! What a fun time, and I am sure your girls had a blast!
Love that you got to meet another blogger in real life. Isn't it the best? I love meeting people that I only read about. There is always something to talk about from blogland. LOL
Cute pictures...and what a cool place to meet.
You are both beautiful.
Yes it was fun! I'm so glad to have met you! Sometime soon I'll head that way again!
Awww! I love that picture of y'all at the end! I was thinking that same thing before I read what you wrote about how I'd never seen a full-length shot of you. I think you look fabulous!! One day, that will have to be you and I taking a picture of ourselves for our blog! :P
Isn't it funny how kids will always smile and turn toward the camera, but their eyes are always looking off to the side?! Mine do that 95% of the time when I take their pics. Always at least one of them is looking somewhere else. Ha!
I loved the picture of Audrey in the pumpkin patch! She's so precious! And I think Alyssa is just the cutest thing, even if she isn't looking at the camera. LOL!
I will go visit Veronnica's blog when I get back from picking up the girls. Hope you're having a great day!!
Oh, how fun!!! I have some very special friends that I've met through my blog, one in particular whom I would be absolutely THRILLED to meet. We've been scheming for months, but she lives waaay up north, so it's going to be difficult to work it out. We're determined to meet someday though! ^_^
So glad you had that time with Veronnica!
Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday. :)
