I guess with blogging, I really want to be able to feel like I'm gaining genuine friendships when I read other people's blogs, instead of signing up to be a follower on a ton of blogs that I can't commit to reading consistently. I want to be able to be a good friend, one who can participate in other people's lives and not feel like it's all about me. I know that these are all pretty random thoughts, but these are just a couple of things I've been thinking about today.
In other news...on Sunday, the girls and I made it to church without my Hubby since he was still gone on his work camping trip. It was the first Sunday ever that Audrey made it through the entire sermon in the nursery! Of course, when I went to pick her up, I could tell that she had been crying, but at least she made it though alive!!! When we made it home, we were surprised to find that my Hubby had made it home early from his work camping trip. After lunch and the girls' naps, we decided to go to Pismo Beach. It is crazy busy up there with all the tourists that are here for the summer, but we still thought it would be fun to walk around and get out. The weather was awesome and we had a nice walk on the pier. I took a few pictures to post and maybe this will explain a little bit about why I love living here in California!!!

I 100% agree on the whole blog thing!!!! Couldn't have said it better myself!! I love the pictures, how beautiful!!!
I'm packing my bags right now and I'll call you when I get to the nearest airport! LOL!! :)
Seriously, I was telling my friend Jennifer earlier that I have no idea how I ended up living in Baytown! I ran across a girl from high school on facebook who lives in NYC now. I'm so jealous because that was supposed to be me! Ha!
I agree too with the blogging thing. As far as I'm concerned, the whole reason I ended up blogging in the first place was so I could meet Veronica. LOL!! Ha!
I totally agree with you, Veronica! Well stated!
Your pictures are beautiful! We have beauty here, but not that kind of beauty. Corn field anyone? :)
Have a great evening!
I agree with you too/all the others. I think your retinas would bleed from reading so many blogs. Ouch! The pics are great. It makes me want to buy a ticket and hop on a jet to go to California. You are one lucky duck to live in Cali. :0)
I have participated in the blog hop. It really is fun, of course there is no possible way to visit everyone.. but I try to visit many. It is neat to see other places.. not just my small town. But I do totally agree with you. I really enjoy and embrace the friendships. I wish I could meet so many of you in real life now. I also do not like the word "followers".
And speaking of outside of my small town.. I am in love with those pictures. We love the beach and go every year, but will be skipping out this summer with all going on with Bentley. So please keeping posting those pictures so I can keep dreaming. ;)
I'm very new to blogging. Only a month or so. For me, it has been a lifesaver. I've been able to connect with other people like me -- Mom's who have had to bury a child. It's hard to find that connection in everyday life. There are so few of us.
I have also felt led to get my experience out there (where ever out there is) and teach people how to love someone that is grieving. I can see what you are saying about the high school thing and I haven't done the Blog Hop yet. But, I'm so, so thankful that this venue is available and that I found it. I think that this is the only blog that I "follow" that isn't someone who's lost a child. I guess I feel some sort of connection -- maybe because we're both in CA.
I do love reading about your life. Thank you for sharing it with me.

I'm with Tiff too...agree completely about the blog thing!
I can totally see why you love CA...beautiful!
What a nice place to live, you should come visit this winter, when we get over 100 inches of snow, it's real fun here, ha! Eric is coming out to Cali in the fall, maybe I can join him and we could meet up!
Oh your pictures make me miss Cali even more! I love it :) I hope you are doing well, I enjoy reading your blog... and getting to know you more! Thank you for your support and prayers, I appreciate them!
Angie
Ahhh...love the pics. You are one lucky gal!
I don't participate in any of the blog carnivals anymore, because I don't have time to read all the blog's that enter...I rarely get a chance to read the blogs that I follow!
I'll be praying for you on the decision about your hats. I haven't regretted my decision yet. I feel so "free"! :)
i will come visit. not this year. going to the east. but believe me i want to come visit cali. and you. maybe you and cali. because as you know i'm totally and completely so blessed by having met you!! and i LOVE your comment about blogging. i want to be the 'same' blogger i was before i had any one reading or commenting. and i pray that i still am. the only thing that has changed is now i use paragraphs. i didn't before! one comment one hundred. i just want to be me. and real. and i think that you, my friend, are also very real!! and live in a really cool place.
and know that i am still praying for you and your hats stuff!! god will direct you! :0) loves you!!
